World Teachers' Day 2021
Happy World Teacher’s Day!
The theme for this year is ‘Teachers at the heart of education recovery’. It’s no secret that the educational disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound effect on students and teachers alike, and the crucial role of teachers has been more appreciated than ever. But did you know, 69 million more teachers are needed worldwide to reach universal education in 2030?
We feel privileged to work with such inspirational education staff within Luton, and with one of the youngest populations in the country, the growth of the sector is essential in meeting the Luton 2040 vision.
“Our children and young people will have higher aspirations matched by improvements in educational attainment and we will ensure that all our residents have a powerful voice through a new citizen’s panel and ongoing involvement in shaping the future of our town.” – Luton 2020-2040 Vision
