Exciting news! Connect2Luton have recently recruited their new Business Development Executive, Sarah Shortt. Sarah will be focusing on the Education sector and supporting Luton’s school’s and academies.
We thought it would be a good time to dive a little deeper to find out what Sarah’s plans are for her new role and a little more about her background. See her interview below…
Tell us about your working background?
I have worked in Education for almost 10 years. During that time, I’ve built a solid understanding of the sector and what makes schools, academies and MATs tick. My experience lies mainly in Business Development, Account Management and Sales related roles all of which I have enjoyed as based on relationship building.
What made you want to join Connect2Luton?
I loved the story behind Connect2Luton and what it stands for and the people I met they seemed like a great bunch to work with.
What are you most looking forward to about your new role?
Building those relationships with schools and getting to know my new colleagues. I’ve gone from knowing a lot to absolutely nothing!!
How do you find working from home and what is your top tip for home working?
Absolutely love working from home. I find that I am so much more productive without the distractions of the office. My work life balance has improved as well as my productivity. A win-win as far as I am concerned! My top tip would be to step away from your screen at lunchtime, even 15 mins makes a world of difference.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Walking my dog, Sonny and hanging out with my husband and two boys. Life doesn’t get much better than that.
