Temporary and Permanent Recruitment Service Accessible to Schools, Academies and Other Education Settings

DBS Update 20/10/21

As you will be aware Connect2Luton processes DBS’s on behalf of Luton schools, academies, and other educational settings.

We have received a couple of enquiries regarding the delay in respect of the timeframe required to process and issue DBS checks.  We can confirm that there is a national issue with the processing time which the Disclosure & Barring Service are currently facing due to a sudden increase in DBS’s. This, in turn, is affecting all DBS processing bodies including the one used by Connect2Luton.

We hope this helps in understanding the current delays. We will continue to process the initial application and verify documentation with speed in the hope that this will reduce the overall issue time. If you have any specific concerns with checks, please contact us and we will investigate further on an individual basis. We will also keep you informed of any further updates.
